Crime Scene

When Gil Grissom arrived back at the crimescene, he decided he was going to go to the back for a look around for anymore evidence, flies over a garbage bin in the alley way out back attracted Grissom's attention. Inside , a trash bag contains dozens of meticulously butchered pieces of flesh and bone sealed in individual plastic baggies, then he discovered a human hair.

After reassembling the flesh and bones. Dr. Robbins guesses it should take 12 hours, and a superior knowledge of anatomy, to dismember and adult male with this kind of percision, prints identify the victim as Debbie Marlin's boyfriend, Dr. Clark.

Later that day, Sara visits the morgue to collect prints of Marlin's toes, but she cant help but stare at the familiar face.

Catherine had finished her case, and went to the crimescene of Debbie Marlin to see if Grissom needs help, he said he could use some help, so she started examining the house, she started with the master bedroom, think =ing she could get prints, and surprisingly she did, a toe print was pulled off the footboard of Debbies bed, unfortunatly the matching suspect had an alibi.

Dr. Clarks car was recovered later that day at the airport. Adjustments to the drivers seat means that the killer was well under 6'2", Dr. Robbins states that Clark was butchered by a right-handed man. The only right-handed surgeon at Desert Palm, Dr. Lurie, DNA compared the hair found at the scene and got a match.

When the brought him in for questioning, little did Grissom know that Sara was listening  he said

    'Its sad isnt it, doc? guys like us, a couple of middle-aged men, who've allowed work to consume their lives. The only time we touch other people is when we're wearing latax gloves. we wake up one day and realise that for fifty years, we havent really lived at all. But then, all of a sudden, we get a second chance. Somebody young and beautiful shows up, someone we could care about. She offers us a new life with her. But we have a big decision to make, right? because we have to risk everything we have worked for in order to have her. I couldnt do it, but you did. You risked it all and she showed you a wonderful life, didnt she? But then she took it away and gave it to someone else and you were lost. so you took her life. you killed them both and now you have nothing.'

Sara knew that Grissom was talking about her, at that moment she knew she needed him in her life but it was impossible and that made her sad.
